Who can apply, and when.
Any senior who lives in the Wren Valley school district can apply, whatever their grades or plans. One application covers every fund below; the foundation does the matching.

Applications are taken on the foundation’s application portal, not on this website. This site never collects anything about students.

Staff match each application to every fund whose criteria it meets. Nobody applies fund by fund.

Volunteer reviewers score with names removed, after signing a conflict-of-interest statement. A reviewer who knows an applicant steps out of that fund.

Awards are announced on 22 May and paid to the school or program in August, once enrolment is confirmed.

Award = amount × number of awards. “Endowed” funds are paid from the foundation’s investment draw each year; “given each year” funds are paid by the donor annually.

Do I need good grades?
No. Some funds weigh grades; many weigh need, a field of study, a job, or four years in the band. One application reaches all of them, so apply either way.
Can I apply if I am going to trade school or an apprenticeship?
Yes. Several funds exist for exactly that, and most general funds accept any accredited program. Awards are paid to the school or program, not to the student.
Who sees my application?
Foundation staff, and the volunteer reviewers for each fund you are matched to, with your name removed. Reviewers sign a conflict-of-interest statement before they see anything. The application lives on the portal; this website holds none of it.
What if I miss the deadline?
The portal closes at 5 p.m. on 15 March and this page’s button turns off with it. There are no extensions, because the review calendar starts the next morning. The window opens again the following February.
Is the money taxable?
The foundation cannot give tax advice. The IRS explains how scholarships are treated in Topic 421; your family’s tax preparer can say what it means for you.
