Every dollar reaches a senior in May.

Gifts to the general fund are awarded the following spring. Gifts to a named fund join that fund. The foundation’s running costs are paid from the endowment draw, so donations are not spent on them.

Every gift gets a written acknowledgment at once and a giving summary each January. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 00-0000001. It cannot give tax advice.

Events drop off by themselves the day after. Gala tickets on a real site link to the foundation’s ticketing page; the site itself sells nothing. The part of a ticket above the cost of dinner is stated on the ticket, as the IRS asks for payments over $75 that include something in return.
